Hi,
When I start windows 7 home premium 64, just before the Starting Windows screen comes on some text flashes and I can't read it.
What is that and how can I see what it says, I tried some of the F1, F2 buttons but not all.
I might have tried F1 but I could have hit F2 instead so I could be wrong F8 was not a solution.

Anyone had a similiar problem and found the solution?

Let me know, new comp, not alot on the 1 terra drive. It is a HP H8-1234 AMD FX 6 Core

Thanks

Yeah, I have seen that too. I don't think it is a problem but I really don't know where it comes from.

I think it happened after a Windows Update, the next morning start up after the installation of the update.
It shouldn't do that so I need to check it out.
I would be curious anyway even it it wasn't harmful.
I think it wasn't just White text but some Yellow like headers were on there also(not sure but I thought I caught that at one point)

If the text is on a black background i.e. before it actually gets into Win7 itself, this is perfectly normal as it is the BIOS checks to verify everything is as it should be before it goes into the OS. Nothing to worry about (provided it is on the black screen) - most PCs will do this.

Does hp use a bootloader? I think they do for the recovery feature.
That could explain it as well.
Most likely it's the bios though.

Hi,
It actually doesn't look like bios that i have seen, I haven't looked at bios in years though so it can be.

It is like 5 lines with double spacing like:

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Just that format not the letters.

It is also Black background and not blue.

I'll try the F buttons again each start up until I hit the right one(if one will show what it is)

Is there an F Button or a Button that I should Not Hit before the Starting Windows Screen

Maybe I should ask that before I cause any trouble.

If it is on a black screen it is the BIOS ending message which can be disregarded - if it goes into the OS and functions normally, you should not worry about it.
