Hi,

for around about one month, I have some problems using the Windows Update. I always get the error massages 800B0100, 80073712 and sometimes one or two more - fortunately (or unfortunately) not this time.

I already did the steps from the windows update posting instruction threat. The SURT I already used before without success, the SFC Scan showed "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations".

I hope I did everything correctly, but I'm not sure about that because my CBS.log is almost 50MB. So I couldn't attach the file but set a dropbox link for it. Hope it's ok:

Thanks a lot for the help.

I've uploaded a file - cbeaa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the downloaded file, and select Extract all…
Extract to the default location - which will create a new folder cbeaa in the same place.
Open this folder - there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the Packages folder to the folder
C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

And the content of the manifests folder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Now run the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Post the new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Oh wow, thanks a lot - that was a fast response. I did everything as described and the log files are way smaller now, hope thats a good sign :) Though I didn't try the update yet again. Shall I?

Amazing! I have no idea what you did or how I could thank you for it, but its all working. No errors after the sfc scan and all updates worked afterwards. Thank you so much! Really appreciate your help :)

Attached the CBS file - again as dropbox link, cause its way to big for uploading it here.

The SFC result is clean, as expected - but there are a couple of minor errors in the background data, which may (but only may!) cause problems later. I think they can be ignored for the moment at least
feel free to come back and moan if you get more update problems at a later date!

Hi NoelDP

Can you upload the file cbeaa.zip in your OneDrive again please? It is not there anymore..
I have got a similar issue and think it will solve mine too! This is my error.

No - all patches are specifically crafted for each user. That's why they get deleted after a time.
Please post your own full CBS and CheckSUR logs in your own new thread, and I'll be happy to create a patch or two for you.
