It has been a while since last here, though I have kept an eye on 'what should we do after January 2020 and a couple of others connected to this subject.
I have searched the forums for any recent discussion regarding Windows 10 S. I know what the 'S' stands for.
I was thinking of posting a thread - 'general discussion' seems appropriate????

Hello Antioch, :-)

You might see if the tutorial below may help for Windows 10 in S mode.

Hello Brink
Many thanks for your response - Breelander has what I was looking for i.e. from 10S to Pro but would prefer Home, not the other way round.

That entirely depends on what edition the OEM chose to install. Some S Mode machines come with Home S, some with Pro S.

You can only switch to the 'non-S' edition of the one you got, Home S can only switch to Home, and Pro S can only switch to Pro.

...and this one. Note that S Mode is now also available as Home in S Mode in addition to Pro in S Mode.

Switch from Windows 10 in S mode to Windows 10 Pro | Tutorials

Hello Breelander
Thank you for the link - that's what I have been looking for.
The link says MS will allow the switch to Pro for free until March 2018 so time has run out?
I am sure I read an article a couple of months ago indicating this had been extended and was free.
I will pop over to the Ten Forums and see if it can be done to WIN 10 Home

Many thanks for your help

Just seen your reply but after I posted to you.
What you say is how I currently understand the swap - Home to Home - Pro to Pro.

Yes, and over on Ten Forums users have recently reported they can still switch for free. At least, on machines they have just purchased.
