Windows 7 64-bit upgrade problem

Although my 32-bit windows 7 is 64-bit capable, it could not run 64-bit installation bootable disk. I get the following message, please help:

It appears you are attempting to run the install from within Windows and that cannot work. There is no upgrade path from a 32 bit to 64 bit OS so you must do a clean install of the OS and all applications. You would have to set the BIOS to boot from the install DVD and boot from it.
