I have just upgraded my system. And installed Windows 7 64bit edition.

My System Specs :

Intel Q9400 processor
MSI P45 - C51
Team 8GB ram
MSI NS210
WD Blue 500GB

I installed everything and it was working fine. Thats when 1st time my graphic driver failed it went blank and windows manage to get it back working again. I was thinking it could be a graphic driver issue. So i did a Windows update and saw a few driver updates for my Graphics, Ethernet, Audio.

After this thats where all my BSOD started to come in.. I tried opening a Parition on my other drive. It will load that drive and later it just crashes. This happen a couple of times. Then for unknown reasons while using I just get BSODs. Even when i lock my computer and go off and i find it just crashed.

I tried playing a Video file on Windows Media Player and i notice its struggling to play as its kinda laggy.

I do not know how to read all the dump files. From browsing in this forum i learnt and have complied a list of my dump files.

Hope you guys can help me out.. :o

What I Would Do

I would go to MSI website and download all current 64 bit drivers for your board it's always best to use the drivers direct from mainboard company

Just checked your dumps variety of error codes in there
I would start by running memtest86 to check your ram
Memory Diagnostics
run this for a min 5 passes or if poss leave running overnight
also run file system check from elevated command prompt
start>cmd.exe(right click run as admin)>type, sfc /scannow
this wiil check for any file corruption/errors
Also update all drivers/bios/chipset

Note: when updating drivers etc dont use win update go to manufacturers website for each individual components and download the latest software for your win version

Have you scanned your registry for any type of errors?
DMP File Extension - Open .DMP files
Uniblue RegistryBooster 2010 - Fix File Extension Errors
I have never tried the uniblue product but if it will do a free scan for you why not try it....here's a couple more to try.
Free microsoft reg scan and repair Download - microsoft reg scan and repair Files

I tried running the scanner you mention. I got total 247 System Related Errors and 12 User Related Errors?

Wat should i do now fix them?

I run the sfc /scannow and have no problems. I will try running yr Memory Diagnostics. Also if i go to my manufacturer's site to download the drivers, then how about the current ones I have installed? Just uninstall them and replace with latest or just run the drivers from the manufacturer straight away

just a thought... Is the drive PATA or SATA, as my secondary HDD is serial and crashes every 5 minutes, then windows finds it again, never happened on XP... the primary PATA HDD works fine...

Any way to point them in the right direction for detecting bios manufacturer for updating? Bios can be a messy thing.

just simple diagnostic steps here run only your OS drive and see if crash still occurs if all is good introduce one drive at a time back into the mix and see what happens

Are you running a raid configuration? Are SATA and PATA raid compatible?

Depends on the driver i normally uninstall old then install new to be sure but looking at your dumps there arent any drivers that are very old on your system so i wouldnt worry about that to much at the moment.
But memtest is the most important thing i would do as some of your dumps report memory corruption so it would be good to rule out ram soon as poss

Hope this helps post back your results

I reckon that the SATA HDD might be the issue and I'm guessing that no update will fix it, probably better to have your OS on a PATA HDD anyway as there faster and more stable.

Bios

update bios at own risk! if you are going to do it make sure you have the right bios if you try to load the wrong bios or even if you have the right bios and interrupt power or restart before bios flash is done and you will have a paper weight

Please PATA drives are not better, looking at dumps i very much doubt this has anything to do with HDDs, nothing indicates hardware faults other than memory corruption
