Windows 7 Aero lag on a GAMING computer

I have a Alienware x51
My specs are below
- It came with Windows 8.1 but i switched the hard drive so now i have Windows 7 x64
-16 GBs DDR3 ram
-Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 1GB graphics
-1TB hard drive

When ever I move a window it lags.
It feels like the fps is low. But the computer still runs games very well!

Did the Windows 7 HDD come from a different computer, or was it a fresh install ?
