I just installed a copy of Windows 7 Home Edition 64 bit on a new build. I'm also running IE 9. I'm having a devil of a time getting Flash Player to run. It shows in ADD/REMOVE programs, but whenever I click on a video it says I need to install Flash Player.
I've read alot about the problem, but I have not found a definitive answer..

HELP!!

BTW, are there any substitute programs to take the place of Flash Player?

Thanks..

Hello BlacknTan and welcome to Seven Forums.

It's possible you might have had a damaged or corrupt install of Adobe Flash. Sometimes those things happen for no apparent reason. Suggest you use the official Adobe Flash uninstaller and follow the instructions exactly. Once you've verified Flash has been completely removed, try installing a fresh copy. Don't forget to uncheck any unwanted add-ons like browsers, toolbars, etc.

Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player

Thanks for the prompt attention and help. I followed your advice to the letter, but the same problem persists.
Anything else I can try??

I've got it!!!

Thanks for all your help... I appreciate it very much!

But, shouldn't the ActiveX Filter be enabled all the time?

Thanks again... You've been a great help!

Addendum...

I see it now. If the blue circle with the slash mark appears, just click on it to turn off and I'm good.. I'm only 3 days on Windows 7 coming from XP. I like 7 with IE9, but it's different, and there will be growing pains. But, it's coming along...

Thanks once again!

That's great news. Glad you got it sorted out. Yeah, there's a learning curve but 7 is a great OS.
