Solved Windows 7 and Windows live mail - are they still OK to use???

Hello everyone
I use (and like) Windows 7, and also like to use Windows Live Mail (I have the 2012 version).
Is it still OK to use these for a while??
I notice that there are a few comments when I do a general search on Google that WLM is not going to be active for much longer, is that true??
Also with windows 7, is there a timescale where this will still be available? Or should I take the leap, hold my breath and download Windows 10??
Any advise or comments would be gratefully received!
