Help! Windows 7 can't see Windows Xp, the network says unidentified network, no network access.

I used two lan cards on each PC, one for internet, and one for file sharing.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks

Set each with proper IP addresses? Can you make screenshots of each computer's cmd screen running -> ipconfig /all ?

Go through this tutorial about sharing with XP, click on the XP tab, it should help.

This one is more general but has good info.
Networking home computers running different versions of Windows

After going through all of that if you are still having file access problems try doing this registry adjustment on the Win 7 machine with the problem.

Solution is really easy just modify one key in registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
create or modify 32-bit DWORD: LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy
set the value to: 1

my personal view, for more easy way, if u are just sharing media files, but connecting both of ur computer under 1 network, u will be able to share files among each other under network. For XP, u just need to enter the network name of ur win 7 pc. eg. \\your-pc\d\media you will be able to see and get the files shared.
