windows 7 background won't cycle

I have a custom Windows 7 theme with multiple backgrounds but it will not cycle though the backgrounds. it just sits on one background and does not move to the next. Googling the problem came up with all unresolved same issue problems. one did say to check power management but everything is fine there

right click.. desktop .. click personalize .. then double click any aero theme.. and then.. click desktop background(below)..select change the picture every(the duration of changing from one pic to another)..and then..uncheck.. when using battery power pause the slide show.. then click..save changes

Well i'm suggesting you something to try.. and i'm not sure whether it will work.. go to windows features..
by copying this line in the startbox ..

%systemroot%\system32\optionalfeatures.exe


then..try to uninstall ..windows gadgets and then again reinstall and see whether it does solve the problem
