Windows 7 BSOD issues

Your BSOD's in safe mode tell me that it is most likely a hardware issue. RMA is probably your best option, but buying new RAM will work as well.

If your RAM is recently purchased, you could probably take it back and get a replacement or an exchange.

Your overclock Profile QPI Voltage ... 1.75V is very high.

Bring it down to 1.35V then bring it up slowly if needed.

Need to check the limit for that, remember some OC sites blow passed the voltage limits in reckless abandon for the sake of a record OC.

Be careful you don't blow the CPU.

Are going to try to run the Corsair and the Kingston RAM together?

There are cases where this will work but, usually it won't.
The RAM timimgs and voltages need to be the same.
Many other factors are involved in compatibility.
There are many cases of the same brand and part number RAM, if bought at different times, being not compatible due to a slight manufactoring change.

Just a heads up.

No, i'm going to use the 3 sticks of kingston ram and then rma this corsair ram, that way i'm not stuck with a 40 pound paperweight for who knows who long until the rma is finished.

I actually got the bios setting information off another pc troubleshooting site, someone with a nearly identical build to mine," i7-950, ud3r, 850 watt psu, gtx 460 sli, " and experiencing nearly identical problems. On a note the former settings i posted worked for a day and then now it's back to the same issues. Bsod, *this time a new one, bad pool header*, random program crashing *explorer, firefox, games* and starcraft 2 which will randomly give me this *install is corrupted* message at some times and work just fine at other times.

The Profile Qpi/DDr is a bad copy paste typo, i cannot change those settings, DDr at 1.5, Qpi at 1.2, the default settings on the mobo. Actual DDr voltage at 1.66, Qpi at...i think 1.3125

Really anxious to see my new ram, from everything i read about issues similar to mine, even the game crashes i'm almost certain defective ram is the problem.

Be careful, people either don't know the max safe settings or don't care, it's your choice.

Max QPI/Vtt from intel is 1.35v for the i7 950.

I've seen sites where guys have the i7 950 CPU at 4.5 MHz and the QPI/Vtt at 1.335v, RAM at 1600 MHz and 1.64v.

Have never seen anyone with QPI/Vtt that high, your in very dangerous territory, 1.75v is way too high.

That's good, didn't want you to burn it up.

You should never take someone elses OC and jump into it, each processor runs differently.
What works for someone else may not work for you and might cause damage.

i had wanted to experiment with various combinations to see which one makes my system the most stable until the new ram arrives in 1-3 days. At the moment the results are usually the same. System has a annoying issue of working for a few hours then reverting back to crashing, in particular it's more prone to crashing *usually memory management* when idle, or using various windows functions like search, or event viewer, than things that would tax the system more.

Well, new ram Kingston HyperX just got here, i'm going to set it to ram settings 1600mhz 1.65v 9-9-9-24 and hope for the best, if replacing the ram doesn't work, the only thing left to do is check for bent pins on the mobo, if that doesn't work...rma on everything...

So far so good, yesterday leaving the computer idle for about 30 mins would cause a crash, memory_management, and has repeated about 3-4 times, going to leave it idle on desktop, see what happens.

That's good news.

Remember to set the QPI to at least 1.2v.

Let us know how the new RAM is doing.

Yep, Qpi 1.3, with the new ram i have not gotten a single crash, or even a single random error yet. I think i made another typo, Timings are 9,9,9 27, the ram listed settings. I'm glad it was not something else harder to fix that broke though.

Ironically the same day i got this pc fixed, the laptop i've been using got a virus that i have yet to figure out how to get rid of. On a note, newegg kingston rebates are pretty iffy, the $30 rebate i had on my memory happened to expire the same day i received it.

I think it's safe to say it's resolved, not one crash or error since the new ram, even managed to fix my laptop. Thanks for the help, just one last thing left is to figure out what to do with the Dominator Gt's, if i rma them i'll have no use for them when they get back, and i'm not sure if they'll offer a refund...
