Followed instructions on how to read the dmp file that came out of my recent crash.

It seems to point to 'usbhub.sys'.

The machine has had the following things installed recently: Q-Dir 5.36, a file manager, Oracle's VirtualBox (Running Ubuntu 12.04), Version 4.1.22 and Microsoft Security Essentials.

Has anyone else had a similar issue with their usb hub?. If so, can you recommend a replacement usb hub?

My system board:

MSI Global ? Mainboard - G41M-P28

I've attached a copy of the debug/crash report.

Thanks in advance.

Did you try the USB fix?

Just done the USB fix and things seem OK but at the time of the last failure no usb devices were attached apart from the mouse and keyboard. I use the same usb stick to move files from my Windows 7 machine to my Linux machine over and over.

Okay..Let us know if the blue screens reoccur. We'll do more troubleshooting.
