Ok so this is a real panic for me as I need to use this download urgently. Basically I have Windows 7 64 bit and I need to download Hp Photosmart C4480. While it allows the download to take place, it does not recognise the program and will not allow it to open once download is complete. It just stays on 0 sec left to open. Thanks so much in advance and sorry if this is covered somewhere else!

While there could be some other explainations, one that is highly likely is that an anti-virus program is blocking it.

ANother could be that your IE security settings (If you are using IE) are screwed down too tight. At "Maximum" Windows does not let you run downloaded EXE, COM SCR files and the like. That's not the default setting, but if you set it that way it will block the running of DLed executables. Goto IE->Tools->InternetOptions->Security and tick it up a notch from maximum if it's set that way (Can do it from "internet options" from the "Network and Internet" control panel as well).
