Windows 7 does not boot after removing Linux

2) Is this a 32 GB SSD you bought and installed yourself ? What is the make and model ?

3) Did it ever have Windows 7 on it ? (the SSD)


The SSD has to be seen in the bios in order to install windows on it or run the clean command.

And you know for a fact, the ssd and the hard drive are 2 seperate pieces of hardware ?

They both showed up in the bios when you installed ubuntu ?

no, only the HDD... However while I install ubuntu I can see both the SSD and the HDD. So I install it on SSD. The difference is that I can boot from the SSD in ubuntu, but I cant do the same in Windows even if it is installed in the SSD.

In BIOS only the HDD is visible (in the boot menu)..

Ya I think you have a single hard drive with a 32 GB iSSD cache.

Not 2 separate drives.

My only other suggestion would be to make and use a Partition Wizard Boot CD to wipe and then setup the drive, not sure why Diskpart didn`t work.

Whoever you took it to, was certainly no PC expert.

Hopefully a forum member with good knowledge of this type of drive will jump in.

1)Drive0 HDD: C400..
2)usb CD/DVD
3)usb HDD
4)FLOPPY

2, 3, 4 has nothing in it... so are not listed in bios boot menu. And drive0 is not bootable.
Was SSD ever in that list? Have you really ever succesfully booted from SSD?

Can you change the boot priority in bios? remove drive0 there and make it SSD.

Its only an HDD that has an SSD cache. So in BIOS you are able to see only the HDD (that has the cache). Yes, I can install and boot from SSD when I have linux ubuntu. The problem starts when I try to install windows...

You want to install it on SSD???? Why do you have a HDD only.... it uses the SSD as cache. At least that is what you say.
The BIOS shows you can only boot from HDD.... SSD is not in the boot menu.

Where did you define it as a cache SSD? In BIOS?

It talks about the hard drive and it`s 32 GB iSSD cache.

I`m shocked no one can help him with this.
