Windows 7 does not boot correctly; OS is not recognized

Hey guys, I was just browsing the internet last night, and the computer froze on me. I hard-killed it, and tried to turn it on normally. It didn't work, and once I rebooted again, it led me to "start windows normally" and "start up repair tool". It didn't recognize my OS, and I didn't know what devices to load, so I clicked next. It led me to the advanced system recovery options (startup repair, system restore, system image recovery, windows memory diagnostic, and command prompt). I've tried every single one of them, and none of them work except for command prompt.

I started looking up what to do when you're at the command prompt, but I have no partitions, and when I tried to create one, it said it couldn't because of an I/O device error.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

I burned the minitool partition wizard to the CD, but I don't know what to do from there.

I put the CD in the faulty laptop, and restarted, but it still asks me to choose "start windows normally" or "start repair"

To boot from a device other than the default:
- Enter BIOS and select the one you want to boot from
- During POST press F12 to bring the boot menu (it can be another key depending of your computer)

Once booted from the CD study the minitool partition wizard program before attempting to fix your HDD

Thank you for replying. How do I select the one I want to boot from on BIOS?

I'm also concerned that I did not burn the CD correctly. I took the downloaded minitool partition file and transferred it straight to the CD. When I checked the CD on another laptop, the file contained is: pwfree91 (application). Was that the right thing to do?

To recover a partition is a quite risky operation.
To be sincere, by your posts I can see that you don't have the skills to do it (no offense).
I'll recommend you to ask a friend for help.

thank you for your guys' input. I will proceed to alter the cd, and if that doesn't work, consult a professional.

Thanks!
