Hi. My Toshiba NB500 notebook is getting slower and slower, especially using the internet and in particular Facebook. Typically it takes 10 minutes to get up to speed and with a Facebook page that hasn't got pixels missing. Once it reaches that point everything is fine.
I've tried all the tips I can find on the internet, that someone with only a basic understanding of computers can follow. But strangely, my partner's laptop (same age and running Windows 7 also) had a similar problem recently. It also had a problem connecting to the internet using wi-fi, basically it wouldn't. However there was an error message, and using that and Google, plus 2 hours of changing settings, I managed to resolve it. After which Windows miraculously loaded in less than 30 seconds. The problem is I can't remember what that error message was, to make all the necessary changes. Can anyone help?
