Windows 7 fails to go into safe mode. Classpnp.sys

Hi, I wanted to go into safe mode on windows 7 but it kept stopping at classpnp.sys . After reading a few threads I read about using Msconfig and checking the safe mode option under "Boot". It still keeps staying at classpnp.sys and when I hit F8 and hit "Last Known Good Configuration (advanced)" it seems to be able to get trough and it says it's actually loading up safe mode but then it changes to a black screen and does not change from that screen. I would appreciate and information you guys have that could solve this problem.

Anyone have even the slightest clue? Is there something I can type in cmd that can open up msconfig from the repair screen?

Try going to search, type msconfig, when you see msconfig, right click and run as administrator. See it that helps.

You can access CMD, and with the same procedure get to msconfig

That is what I did and what got me into this whole problem. My problem is that Every time I start my computer it automatically starts to go into safe mode and gets stuck at classpnp.sys. If I could disable it somehow then I could get into my account and uncheck safe mode.

Check your BIOS IDE Sata configuration.
Try to clean your BIOS to default config in case you didn't have success with the first hint.

I think if you were to push F2, F1, or Del key during the start up you wil be redirected to a menu that will allow you to start with last known configuration along with a few others...sometimes you can get through things like getting to command prompt by going to sytem repair and when it finishes the start up repair it will give you roll back options...sometimes it may look like it isnt working but it is worth waiting a few minutes..also having your windows 7 disc in the tray might help...maybe the next time it starts in safe mode you can let it fail on the file and wait like 5 minutes and windows 7 disc wil operate itsself..and you might be able to re-install the drivers or do a self repair
