Windows 7 + FX 5500 =??

It is an old card, and was a cheap version anyway. There were problems with the drivers on XP systems. There are no specific drivers for Windows 7, and the Vista drivers may produce a blue screen on some Windows 7 systems, although some people managed to get them to work on some systems. ( 32 BIT systems as I recall).

So, it MAY work, but I would not rely on it.

Technically it is NOT compatible, because Nvidia did not issue any Windows 7 drivers for it.

Regards....Mike Connor
