windows 7 HDMI sound to tv

HI all i got a ATI radeon HD 5570 graphics card with HDMI out the video works ok but no sound to tv even if i make default in controll panel sound, i also have a terra tec aureon 5.1 pci sound card installed plus on board sound i think pq5 pro mobo ......... just downloaded new drivers that i could find still not work any ideas cheers

forgot to say running window 64 bit ...... new drivers i found HDMI_R270 and 64_R270

Too many sound devices enabled, they can conflict and cause problems. If you have on board audio enabled and a separate sound card they can conflict. If you are using a separate sound card, disable the in built audio in the BIOS.

For the Video card, are you using the correct AMD supplied drivers (and Catalyst Control Center)? If not, download the latest for your card at www.amd.com

The HDMI audio usually will automatically set itself as the default audio playback device (what is needed) if an HDMI cable is plugged into the video card's HDMI port.

i turn off the on-board sound in the bios plus amd says i have the latest driver available but still no sound to tv through HDMI cable, even if set to default

Is there a different TV that you can try the HDMI with? Maybe the problem is in the TV and not the Video card's HDMI audio?

Possibly but would be a well pain to do lol get bk to u ......... but tv in setup is a samsung le40d580
