Windows 7 Help required

Hi All,

My son has a laptop with windows 7 32 bit and all of a sudden when he runs an .exe programme like World of Warcraft we get a popup saying view downloads and asks us if we with to run or save.
How can i fix this so when we click on icon it runs automatically?
I also tried system restore twice but got an error both times.
Hoping someone can please help me.

I went here File Association Fixes for Windows 7 - The Winhelponline Blog and it fixed it.
