Windows 7 hits RTM

but the shop version will be not the same that the actual 16385

because the special news effects and desktop are not here now

There are no new effects and wallpapers...are you blind? Microsoft confirmed this is the RTM build...NOTHING can be added.

For me Wzor's site doesn't always display the login screen properly in Firefox. If you are not seeing the place to enter the login credentials, perhaps you might have better luck trying another browser for his site.

For all those running 7600.16385 already who are asking if they can just enter the key that they buy when the keys you purchase are made available to you, the answer is a qualified yes. The thing you have to keep in mind is that you have to be running the same version of 7 that you are buying a key for, so if say you are running Ultimate unactivated now, and you buy Pro or Home Premium, your key will not activate the Ultimate you are running now, and you will have to reinstall the proper version of 7 to activate with your purchased key. If you purchase an Ultimate key, then of course you will be able to activate if you are running Ultimate now.

So you should install the version now that you plan to purchase a key for later, that is, if you are installing ahead of time.

This is my first post but I am not new to this forum as I have been a lurker for a very long time. But I had to make this post to THANK several of the great posters here. They answered so many of my questions without me having to even post as so many others posted the same questions, over and over again, lol!

So a special thank you to Orbital Shark, Zidane24 and SoLAr as well as to the many other great members of sevenforums! Even though the RTM is now out I will continue to come to this forum for any questions I may have and for some of the great tutorials by its members.

And after reading all of the posts in this thread I just have to say for those members that have shown a rather blatant disregard for the work of Wzor and Sukonka/Zukona Team, as well as, the advise offered to you by the sevenforums members you should be ashamed. They worked hard to bring you the many builds over the last few months and the news about the RTM. The least many of you can do is show some respect!

so again thanks and respect for everything!

Guys All I can say it has been a great ride and honor to be on this forum with everyone over the last few sleepless weeks. I'm so happy RTM has come and I'm ecstatic that 16385 is the confirmed choice.

Not to mention I'm glad 16386 wasn't built just because of posterity sake to mimic Vista that a lot of people thought would happen.

Cheers and thanks Guys and Gals.

Like I said...I can't think you guys for all your nice comments...and trust me I will be around to help and do write-up tutorials for a long time to come (I hope!). As for news of a new tutorial...it isn't as exciting as my vLite tutorial but...if you happen to have those little miracles called "Children" than a "Parental Controls - Keeping In-Control of Windows 7" will do...

PS If you haven't had a chance to look at my vLite tutorial...be sure to give it a glance; That program can really work wonders (building an x64 ini Home Premium Installation right now)
