Windows 7 Infinate Loop

Hello Guys, I seem to be having a problem with my HP Pavilion Laptop, I can't seem to get Windows 7 to boot up. I tried all the methods , including the F8 option where it displays more options , I still can't get it to boot up. I know this is a common problem , now before it reboots it displays the blue screen error messages. Is there a way this situation can be fixed?, and unfortunately I don't have the Windows 7 repair disk as well.

Alright I will try those steps and let you know if it works.

If possible unplug all other HD's. Boot into BIOS setup by tapping the key given for this on first boot screen, check that Windows 7 HD is detected and set to boot first (after CD/DVD drive).

Unfortunately I can't get past step one, I can't find windows 7 HD to boot after the CD/DRIVE

If HD isnt' in the boot Priority list in BIOS, or listed at all under Storage devices, then it's likely failed. You can try reinstalling the HD in its port to see if it is a bad connection - google may have a video for your model or product line showing how to do this, carefully.

If that fails then I'd replace the HD. You can shop for its replacement in a shop, online via google Shopping, or both and compare. A shop like Tiger Direct or MicroCenter can give you more help at the counter and easier returns if necessary.

But if you're perchance still under warranty, call support to have it RMA'd for free replacement.

Well gregrocker , I tried another method which was to do a System Recovery Options which asks now for a Username and Password which I can't remember is there a way I can get past this part , I am on step 3

How could anyone not remember a password if they have one, and which they just had to use to sign into the PC before it went on the blink? :huh: Hello? If you don't have a password then just hit enter.

Otherwise use the Options on the DVD which don't ask for a password.

I should of Probably mentioned that it's a client Computer I am working on lol. I am thinking of giving a call to the client lol.

So gregrocker , what I decided to do was try restoring windows 7 with command prompt . I followed these Instructions carefully , yet it's not working for some strange reason, as you can see I have done the same process over and over again , since I have like 5 backups , but that didn't work. I really don't understand what I am doing wrong. I am following step by step directions . The only thing I can think of is delete all backups and start from scratch which I don't know how to do. Any ideas ?

Strange how you ignore all of the steps which work in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start and use ones which weren't recommended at all. Why?

You never replied if the HD is detected in BIOS. If so work through the steps.

Oh yeah, that's my bad, Now I get it when the instructions says HD that means hardrive , yeah never mind , it's detected I will follow the steps now. I got a question , does this wipe the entire hardrive from scratch because I don't want to lose anything, or does it just repair it, just to be on the safe side.
