Windows 7 install errors

so I'm trying to install windows 7 again. I got a virus for some reason, I couldn't start up my PC anymore. So I formatted everything in the windows 7 installation(you know before the installation begins). There is nothing left of my old files. So after windows expanded the files it's starting to install the features, but then I get some error saying: could not set the offline locale information Error code 0x80FF000. After that I get a lot of errors saying that files are corrupt and that I have to run checkdisk utility. I don't know how to run that without windows explorer. So it would also be helpful if someone tells me how to run that without having windows on your PC.
The windows 7 dvd is fine, because I used it before on the very same computer and it worked. Only this time I'm getting these strange errors.
So if someone could tell me what to do with this error and how to run the checkdisk utility, I would be grateful.

I'm trying to open the DISKPART, but I can't select the OS from my CD.
nvm, somehow I got there.

sorry for the bump, but I still can't install windows 7 :S
I keep getting the errors that certain files are corrupt.
it says that it fails iinstalling because it can't find the files
"Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available and restart in the installation. Error code: 0x8007045D"
please help me with this, I've been busy with this since yesterday :S

Sound like the hard drive is bad.
Since you have another PC to use, as you are posting here, download the drive diagnostic program, it is a ISO or EXE that will make a bootable CD, the the drive manufacturers website and run it to check that drive.

But then it could also be your memory so if the drive checks out OK then run Memtest86+, also creates a bootable CD or USB flash stick, to check the memory.

Well somethinig is screwing up the install. It's either memory corrupting the files as they are being copied to the HDD or the HDD has bad areas that when the files get copied to the OS can't read them back.
During the copying phase the install routine just dumps all the files on the drive. Then it reads them back to to set everthing up. Somewhere in the copying process they are being corrupted.

And you won't know which part is the bad one until you run those tests.

Where did you get your win7 install DVD ? Store bought or downloaded ?

no, the CD has been used before and it worked great. But for some reason it's just failing the whole time this time. I got the iso from the microsoft website.. I can order a new one, but that's useless because the iso and the cd are just fine. I'm gonna run the memtest and HDDtest.

no, I burnt the dvd on this laptop.
and about the HDD test, it fails to test it because of a bad command. am I using the wrong program?
I've got a Harddisks 3,5 inch SATA
Samsung HD103SJ (1TB) and I used estool from this site:
Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
this is what the exact error says:
can't open CD driver CD001 SHSUCDX can't install
your ram drive is loaded at C:

I also did the memory test and the results were positive, no errors were found.

You could always borrow some RAM from a friend to do the installation...

but there's nothing wrong with my ram, I've done the memtest.
you guys think it's also good to return my ram? or does it have nothing to do with this problem?
