I am trying to install Windows 7 on my laptop. When I click on "upgrade" it takes me to a compatibility report that says "the computer started using the windows installation disc. Remove the installation disc and restart your computer so that windows starts normally." When I remove the disc and try to restart the computer, it takes me to a black screen with a bunch of computer gibberish on it and says "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key". In other words, I am getting a message from windows 7 telling me to reboot my computer without the windows 7 disc, but the computer WILL NOT reboot without the disc. When I click on "custom (advanced)" instead of "upgrade", it takes me to a page that says "where do you want to install windows?" with a blank box and a message at the bottom that says "no drives were found. Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation"
I have tried everything in my capacity as someone who sucks with computers and need help from someone who doesn't. Thanks for the help.

I tried the process of typing "sfc/scannow" into the command prompt. It gave me a message saying "there is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again." I have rebooted about 10 times and keep getting the same message
