Solved Windows 7 installed in a system reserved extended from 100mb to 400gb

I have a 1TB clean hard drive. i have mistakenly extend the system reserved from 100mb to 400gb. Then I installed Windows there. Now, i want to format the system reserved, because now i know that OS should not be installed there.. My question is that can i still have my 1TB after formatting? I want to delete the partition afterwards then re-install the OS..I still have the installation CD..

I already reduced the size of the system reserved.

See Step 5 in this tutorial for an explanation of partitions when installing Win 7.

If you're happy with the installation you just did you could change the label from System Reserved to Windows 7 (or whatever name you want).
Then resize it to whatever size you want for the partition. You can then create new partition(s) in the unallocated space. It's up to you if you want to do another install, or use the install you have.

Would installed OS in the system reserved be Okay and will not produce any problem? Or is it better if I format the system reserved then install Windows in a new partition? I'm searching for the same issue with mine but found nothing.. Think I am the only one who made that mistake..

If you install Windows into unallocated space it will create a System Reserved partition and a partition. It puts the boot code into System Reserved and the OS into [C]. If you install Windows into a pre-defined partition its the boot code and the OS into the single [C] partition. I don't have and never have had a System Reserved partition on my PC's. If you keep what you have I suggest renaming System Reserved to something else such as "Windows 7". Then it will be less confusing, but that's just my opinion, and what i would do.
