Before I continue I will state this.

Yes my windows 7 Ultimate 64bit OEM is genuine, Yes I did buy it... No i don't pirate stuff i'm not that much of a lowlife, who steals!!!

Okay my problem is, I have windows 7 ultimate 64bit and well.. I have checked it's genuine by using microsofts website, and i've checked in control panel and dxdiag..

Problem you may ask?? Well the login screen says I have Windows 7 professional.....

Yeah.... is there a reason why? is this supposed to be? i've tried a windows 7 login screen changer to try use that to revert to defaults but nothing worked. i have done

Sfc/scannow

and that other stuff.

---------- put in just now, 04:20am, yes i know what operating system i have i'm not new to computers.... the problem is my login screen says a totally different operating system version!!!!!

There should not be any confusion over what edition of Windows 7 you have. Click on "Start Button", right click "Computer", left click on "Properties". At the top it will tell you what you have. Mine says Home Premium. No matter what you think you may have, the process I just described will tell you what you have. Thanks,

i know what os i have but...

I know what operating system i have i said that.... The problem is my login screen says professional and i want to know why!

everywhere on my computer it says ultimate apart for login screen that says premium.

Dxdiag - ultimate, control pannel/system - ultimate, everything says ultimate.....

apart for login screen

---------

Also i been using computers for more than 21 years, my first being windows 95 and playing msdos games and so on.... I know how a pc works... I'm just wondering why this problem is happening.

Also i kind find it insulting that both commenters thought someone wouldn't know what os they have... that at least anyone should know, now i understand some people maybe daft, but i clearly stated my problem in my original OP post!

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
You haven't posted any pictures of the logon screen so why would we question it ?
Where by chance did you buy this version of windows ?

We did not create the operating system, Microsoft did, so why don`t you ask them ?

If you`re not gonna cooperate, we are not obligated to help.

And as far as you thinking people are being insulting, you haven`t heard anything yet. Do you know how many people come here with bogus Windows 7 Ultimate installs and ask for our help, as I said, post the report and we`ll be glad to help, if not, then live with it and have a nice day.

You now have 3 posts, when you reach 300 or 3000 and earn some respect, then maybe you can talk to us like that.

We help thousands of people all over the world every day and do not deserve your rudeness

Sorry did you see this ?

yeah As I said, It even did this before I used the theme, and I have no idea why, As you can see my operating system detects 7 ultimate,

In system information, Command console, AMD catalyst, steam dxdiag, you name it, everything detects windows 7 ultimate.

The only thing that doesn't show it is the login screen! witch is very odd

Something weird ? It`s a diagnostic report from Microsoft that generates a report that tells us if your Windows is Genuine and activated properly, why are you afraid to run it and post the results for Noel to look over ?

We have no idea why your windows 7 logon screen says Professional, you should call Asus.

Or reinstall Ultimate and get rid of that oem garbage.

Yes Sir, I do have a retail disk OEM with the cardboard evenlope and stuff, with the product key, and the label and stuff that you can stick on your PC,

Would reinstalling windows 7 fix is? I have no problem doing that as all my main programs and stuff are ON my HD drive, I only use my SSD for my Operating system.
