Windows 7 not genuine Build 7601

I recently had to purchase a new SSD to run Windows from as the other was getting quite full. My previous Windows 7 licence was an upgrade one, so rather than go through the process of installing XP and then upgrading, I purchased a full Windows 7 licence. All seemed fine and my PC has been up and running for a couple of weeks until the above message arrived. I don't know if it was after some Windows updates or that was just a coincidence.

Any assistance gratefully received!

The installation has not been activated and still under grace period. Activate it using the product key on the COA sticker that came with the retail disc.

Unless you are an MSDN subscriber, you are not entitled to use the Key – and whoever sold it to you was not entitled to do so.
You need to claim an immediate refund from the vendor - do NOT accept the offer of a new key (all they are trying to do is to get past the 45-day claims window or avoid you sending the evidence of their crimes to the authorities)

Definitely MSDN - and the fact that they simply issued a new Key proves conclusively that they are frauds.
MS is the ONLY company that can legally sell retail licenses key-only +download - and always have been.

Don't 'request' a refund - DEMAND it, under threat of legal action.

- also notify your credit card or other payment method that you are disputing the goods and demanding a charge-back
