Windows 7 Not Installing on MSI 7528 (G31M3) Motherboard

Hello,

I am trying to install my Windows7 Pro 64bit in My System with Motherboard MSI G31M3(7528).
But Its not going more than windows logo comes. After Windows 4 Colour Logo Displays. Its Getting Hang.

Please let me know if any Bios Setting Need to change in that?
or any other idea can i try.

Win 7 64 bits must have a 64 bits CPU and is recommended only if you have more than 4G of memory.
What CPU you have on the MSI G31M3?

My Processor is Intel Core 2 Duo SLA95 MALAY 2.2Ghz/2M/800/06 with 2GB RAM. In this how do i know what capacity of processor this is. I have tried x86 (32bit) on this. Same issue. till windows logo comes. its work fine. but after that get hanged.

Core 2 Duo is a 32/64 bits CPU. As you only have 2G of memory you should install Win 7 32 Bits.
The problem you're having can be due to wrong BIOS settings or faulty ram. Did you set disk as AHCI?
Boot from the win 7 installation disk, go to install - advanced - delete ALL partitions - create new and install on the big NTFS partition.

Where i can find the AHCI option in G31 Bios. I am getting this in latest boad. but in this board there no option for changing AHCI. RAM is also fine. and i tried 32bit also. you told me to delete all partition and create new one. but my installation not going till that level. its getting stuck on Windows Icon Only.

Set the Bios to defaults, by hitting F5 in the Bios, then F10 to save changes and exit.

Then try to install Windows again.

Let us know what happens.
