If you go to Control Panel, Administrator Tools, Computer Management, Storage, are all your drives shown properly?

Do you actually have 10 hard drives or are some of those volumes on partitions.

Yes, they are all shown properly. They indeed are partitions.
2 are external.

Which 2 (I know L: is one) are external. If you temporarily disconnect those two drives, do you get the same problem (s)?

So P, T, and U are partitions on a single drive. I assume you disconnected the L: drive and that other drive and still have the problem.

I also assume C: through K are volumes on a single drive. It looks like that drive is a 5 TB drive. It seems that everything is ok with it but, would you shrink the K: volume by 50 GB, reboot and then try Windows Explorer again? You can always add it back.

I don't know how to create or move partitions. I got it as is when I bought it.
I asked for partitions to be made as I do photos. I think a couple of the letters are virtual drives made by daemon tools.

Disk 0 is C, D, E
Disk 1 is G, H, K
Disk 2 is an external, no partitions.
P T U is a partitioned external.

As you can imagine, I was trying to eliminate the excess number of connected drives to see if the problem happens with only your C: drive. You can pursue disconnecting all three to see if it still happens.

Since you said your problem started with an operation in VLC Player and you've uninstalled it, I suggest going here and deleting the whole folder and rebooting-

C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\Roaming\vlc

Well, I tried to find it, but I don't have that folder anywhere. So I did a search on all drives and found the VLC folder under programs and program files x86, no exe, but I deleted all signs of vlc.
I rebooted and still the same, nothing changed. :(
The only way I can see a thumbnail is I open Lightroom, edit a picture, save it, the saved folder window opens and I see all thumbnails but on in that 1 folder.
I have no clue on what else I can do..............

Please go here and delete this folder-

C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

If you wish, you can set a system restore point before doing that.

Reboot your system. Do you still get the problem?

That makes sense. Too bad I didn't think of it.

Try this-

Click the Start button
Click on Control Panel
Click on Folder Options
Click on the View tab
Under the Files and Folders section check the button next to "Always show icons, never thumbnails"
Click on Apply
Click on OK

Then try to delete the files in that folder.

If that doesn't work, I have some other ideas.

Okay. With the same settings, go to Accessories, System Tools. Click on Disk Cleanup. When it says how much space it can clean, check the box for Thumbnails, temporary files (temporary internet files is checked by default) and Recycle Bin. Let it run. Reboot.

Does that work?

Would you go to the Explorer folder that I mentioned and provide a screen shot of its contents. If you would, make sure that the date for each file is shown.

In addition, did you disconnect the three drives and reboot? Did you get the same problems?
