Solved Windows 7 OA License invalid after install of Windows 7

Hello,

I dont understand and hope someone would be able to help me?

I have an older Asus laptop 2nd hand. It is now had a fresh install of Win7 home prem installed from an iso i downloaded. After installation, I've attempted to activate windows using the windows product key provided on the back of the laptop. Windows says the key is invaild when I attempt to activate online. I've run MGADiag output below. I wonder if anyone is able to help.

Welcome to the forum. Were did you download the iso from as your trying to activate with a OEM key if its not an OEM version it wont activate Windows Product ID: 00359-OEM-9821744-81450

Hi samuria,

I downloaded iso from;

Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool

and selected HomePrem version of Windows 7 SP1 OEM.

Hi

Please install kb971033, it will register the activeX components, shown as not registered in the Mgadiag.

REBOOT TWICE

rerun the tool, you may also have to contact MS to confirm the key

This is now resolved.

I installed kb971033

re-ran Mgadiag and saw the log showed activeX was now registered.

I re-entered the Product Key again before activating windows and done!! Windows activated
