I am implementing windows 7 soon at work and i have a test machine i have been working with. At my business we use the syncing of offline files in this way. Currently with XP all of our users My Documents are stored on the server and mapped to the users my documents on there PC

I have been searching for this in windows 7 and have had no luck. the only thing i have found is they want you to map a network drive and use it that way.

Does anyone know if what i am currently using in XP works in 7.

Thanks

The process for folder redirection remains pretty much the same as it has been in previous versions of Windows, the only caveat being that, you cannont use the link from the start menu "Documents" or the link within libraries "Documents". You need to use the actual location c:\users\YourUserName\My Documents, right click, properties, location tab, move.
Maybe these two articles might help further.
