Windows 7 or 8.1 for gaming?

Hello and welcome Sandi now please do this because it really does depend on what you have in the ?machines
Now before we can help we do need to know what is in your machine so please do this System Info - See Your System Specs
or either enter the specs of your system in your forum profile the specs will appear when we click on that little box bottom left of the post screen it is for me the preferable option as it is easy. As you may appreciate it is very hard when you don’t know what one is working with for example a diesel or petrol engine.

However a very quick reply is I am not familiar with 8 that much and personally 7 would be my choice.

Both operating systems are useful for gaming. If I have to choose one from two operating system than I will choose 8.1.

Yes mate maybe they would but the once I tried it it was definitely a Retro thing in my experience with it - far too cluttered.

Hi,Why would anyone even consider installing Windows 8.1
When a person needs classic shell or start 8 or 10 to get an interface they want 8 is no different than 10 except 8 a person actually has More control than in 10
I bailed on a 10 install back to a 8.1 pro just for the hell of it and mostly because 8.1 is more stable.
