I just signed my daughter up instead and he can use hers too. Ok I got the email saying approval pending and like 4 other emails..Will there be an email saying it was approved? Their website is kinda confusing. Also does it matter what you sign up as? I accidently signed up as non member or do I need to contact them and change it. We can sign in and she can see can navigate around and she has a member #

I wouldn't count on being able to reinstall under the same key forever. I read somewhere that all the MS validation servers aren't on line yet for 7.

I installed this a few days ago and validated it. I then reinstalled it today and validated it again. Works perfect and there seems to be no limit on reinstalls. I think i deserve a cookie for testing this out

The Payment Validation may take 1-2 days, No you wont get an email sayingthat your Payment is Done.

Make sure to create a Web Account, after creating a web account you can login through it(even your payment is still pending or not) and there is a "My Receipts" Section, go there and the details in there says whether your Payment is done or not.
Regarding the Non-Member thing i cant remember what it is,

You can change the language in the other versions too, ive posted a step by step tutorial a few posts back, tou only need the cabinet file with the language pack which you want to install.

Just a word of advice.. once you have your new copy of W7 installed and activated, make an image of your disk ... just in case!!

The MSDN site states that the licenses are lifetime - surviving membership and graduation - as long as the the software is used for academic puposes.

Tews is correct and wise - you should image and backup. You will probably save yourself many hours of work, maybe days of work.

I only posted the bit about the license to address concerns regarding it's lifespan.

Windows 7 backup/image will work for me for ever if i use the same system config. and how may i restore it if my win become currupted after few months let say?
then if i resotre it than it will restored on the date of which the image has been made. Am i right or not?

Hi.. To a point, yes ..make sure that you store the image on a seperate partition/drive.. do incremental image backups to keep your image current ... If this were linux I could bang out a bash script to automate the process ...
