Windows 7 64-bit Professional

Brand new PC.

Specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte EX58-UD3R Rev 1.6
RAM: G-Skill 3x2GB Tri-channel Memory DDR3-1600
CPU: Intel i7-930
GPU: ASUS Radeon 5850
HDD: WD 1TB
DVD: Lite-on DVDRW
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W
Cse: Antec 900

BSOD crash Error:

Stop 0x124 uncorrectable hardware error.

I've run the bootable Memtest x5. BurnInTest run, passed. WD Diagnostic Tools passed. Streetfighter 4 Benchmark passed with flying colours. Motherboard and Display drivers are fully updated, Windows updated. BIOS flashed to most recent release. Heat stress tests monitored with HDmonitor all passed with testing of all components.

This is the most recent OS install I have had that has suffered from BSOD. Installed windows XP SP3 which was stable until I installed the required ATI GPU drivers and once again BSOD occured with a different stop error due the a different OS installed.

On previous installs of win7 64bit windows crashed on the same stop 124 error while watching HD movies, surfing the internet with chrome, with Windows Live in use, idling with no programs running and installing programs. BSOD stop error 124 also occurred with Windows 7 32bit home edition installed.

Some of these .dmp files happened while updating windows 7.

Attaches are the windows 7 dump files and the XP dump files. Thank you in advance for taking the time to look through these.

The STOP 0x9C errors from XP are the same thing as the STOP 0x124 errors in Vista/Win7. They are errors that are reported by the CPU to Windows. They are either hardware errors or compatibility issues.

I would suggest carefully reading this topic for suggestions on ruling out problems that cause the STOP 0x124 errors: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-2-int-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

And, this is just a hunch on my part - but most of the errors that you describe seem to have networking as a central component. You can try disabling your current network card and installing a new one (they're about $15 US at most shops).

To be honest I suspected this too, and I've disabled the network adaptors. The system has remainded stable since (about 2 hours which is a vast improvement) but I'll continue to update this thread.

I did do some research into the stop 124 error before this, and came here after exhausting my own ideas. Since the system was set up less than a week ago its been difficult trying to identify an hardware malfunction and not just a compatibility issue.to I have swapped out the dvd drive, hdd, PSU and GPU and tested them all with the same stop 124 error.

Thank you very kindly for the advice! I'll get back to you with the results :)

**EDIT forgot to add, stop error occurred on windows7 install multiple times.

Network adaptors disabled. BSOD still continues. Here are the new .dmp files.
