Hello everyone!
I AM AWARE THAT A SIMILAR THREAD EXISTS ALREADY. HOWEVER MY CURRENT SITUATION IS RATHER UNIQUE AND UNLIKE ANY OTHER PROBLEM I HAVE FOUND ON ANY FORUM.
Recently I have been having some troubles with my computer. Basically it started with the missing operating system error. I went through a lot of work and effort before deciding that i was fine with simply reinstalling Windows 7. Upon launching the installation setup I was prompted with two options. Upgrade or Custom(Advanced). I wanted to completely start fresh so I chose Custom. They asked me to select a HDD to install the OS on. I selected my 1tb Western Digital black hard disk, knowing that I had done this before and it had worked. When I hit "next" it told me that " Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate and existing one". I went to Disk options and deleted any partition I may have had. I tried again, same error. I switched HDDs using an identical HDD.( one of them is faulty so i tried both to be sure) but the error was still there. So what do i do? How can I fix the problem and proceed with installing Win7? Note: I currently cannot access this computer since the OS is missing. Also my only other computer is a Mac.
