Solved Windows 7 problems

Hi guys I have Intel Celeron D, with RAM 1.5 GB. I've installed some mod pack for Win 7. Now my Win 7 is running hell slow. Also when I want to open a program it takes 15 min to open. I've made a system restore and still nothing. What shall I do? Do I have to format it? Also is it better to install Win XP or Win 7 for Intel Celeron D, RAM 1.5GB GeForce 210?

What mod pack have you installed? Can you uninstall it to see if it makes any difference? It might be that you would be better off reinstalling your OS.

Well the mod pack is called Wave. When I restarted the PC it was so slow that I couldn't uninstall it, so thats why I made system restore. And for reinstalling Is it better Win XP or Win 7? PS Its mine 13th pack, so who says 13 isnt bad number :shock:

To see if your hardware is suitable for running Win7, run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor

Win7 needs no modification, tweaking or optimization beyond normal system settings. These tweaks will always come back to bite you.

I would run SFC -SCANNOW Command - System File Checker to check System File integrity.

If this doesn't help, as a last resort before clean reinstall you can run a Repair Install if you don't have SP1, or if you have a Win7 installer with SP1.

If you don't get instantaneous performance try Reinstalling Windows 7 using these tips to get a perfect install.
