Hello,

My W7 Pro x64 keeps reinstalling the same updates over and over again. A few months back, I was unable to get updates at all and this forum helped me to get my W7 back on track with installing updates. Since a few weeks ago I have been unable to keep these updates from installing on shutdown. Screenshot attached. One thing I did try was run tweaking.com windows update repair, but looks like it didn't help. Willing to try that again if you think that would be the proper course of action. Also not sure if this issue is keeping windows from finding/installing new updates.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Rocco

The Update KB 4093118 is the problem one. Something went wrong at MS & KB 4093118 interfered with KB 4093113 & then KB 4093118 kept getting installed only to show up again at the next update session. This also seemed to cause KB 4093113 to get reinstalled again as well.

The best thing is just to Hide KB 4093118 & it will not reappear. To do that click on the Updates Pending & Right Click on KB 4093118 & select Hide.

It looks like you are right up to date with the Updates. The last ones I received were around 20th April. However, no doubt the May ones will be showing up soon.

Hi Ranger4,

I think that may have done the trick. (At least those updates didn't install on shutdown last night). I'll know for sure later and let you know.

Thanks for your help,

Rocco
