Windows 7 question

Would this copy of windows 7 expire and be un useable if i change my mobo or cpu etcetc like my last copy or will this be ok after changing the parts in my pc? i like to change my pc parts from time to time

If you change the mobo then yes, it will not work any more.

So your windows is OEM version?

Well, In that case either don't change the mobo or buy new windows.

You would buy it like anybody else.

You aren't likely to have license problems with new hardware other than the motherboard.

I have heard that Microsoft is sometimes forgiving and may allow an OEM user to change motherboards if the change is to another identical motherboard or its equivalent replacement.

Buying from a 'Catalogue Company ' like this is about the most expensive way to purchase anything.
AS far as I can tell - and the site isn't very forthcoming with details - this is a Retail copy of Windows.

The only reson why i brought it from kays is because i dont have the cash to pay for it upfront so whith them i can pay it off monthly

That's a situation I can understand - but I really do believe that it's better save up first, than to pay the usurer! It takes willpower (or good friends in my case) but it really does help if you can find a way to pay 'cash up front'.
In this case you are paying very nearly a 50% premium over the market price.


That said, if you've already purchased this item, then the 'returns policy' will almost certainly not allow a return, but the good news is: As far as I can tell, this is a legitimate Full Retail License for Windows 7 Home Premium, and will not be invalidated by a motherboard upgrade. - although it almost certainly will require telephone activation in that circumstance.
