Windows 7 Rainlendar skin RC1

just a sneak preview of a Rainlendar skin i'm working on. it's far from being done, but i wanted to get some feedback.

the coloured boxes behind the days with events attached are going to go, i'll be replacing them with little 16x16 icons that will hover in the corner by the day number. all the icons are ripped from Windows 7 - everything from a little telephone to books, clocks, and all kind of other neat images i've found hidden away in system files.

i may add Rainlendar's to-do list feature at the bottom too, if it doesn't prove too difficult.

eventually even the title bar buttons will work, complete with mouse-over glow

the only thing that's missing is aero blur, but we can't have it all, eh?

anyway here's what it looks like so far...

it's all xml so it's kind of driving me mad skinning this thing, especially since i'm running blind with zero experience with this sort of thing, but it's fun nonetheless

here's the latest iteration. the spacing needs some tweaking. and i'm not sure if i like the tiny green Outlook icons or not... anyway it's a work in progress

Never used Rainlendar standard myself. So I downloaded yours and am gonna give them both a try.

• Two calendar styles - Sidebar and Modular
• Modular style: Toggle the Events/Task window by clicking the bottom edge of the calendar window
• Sidebar style: Working title bar buttons complete with mouseover glow
• Over 40 event categories, each with a special icon taken from Windows 7
• Two clocks included (12 hour and 24 hour)

it's a handy program. you can set it to pop up on pressing a global hotkey combo, so it doesn't have to be on your desk all the time. its alarm function is invaluable, and has reminded me of countless birthdays and other things i tend to forget otherwise.

plus, for a small fee, you can get the pro version and sync it with Google Calendar. i have my home/work computers synced this way, so i never miss a beat

there are lots of great skins for it too. but mine's the best of course

Can u post your rehashed color skins Grim? or are those for personal use? They suit my themes much better as well.
