Windows 7 randomly freezes online

I have Windows 7 Ultimate on my Gateway laptop and it will freeze online whether I am viewing a video or not. I uninstalled/reinstalled Google Chrome and Java which only partially helped temporarily. I uninstalled Chrome again and used IE 11 without success. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi gam welcome to the seven forums. I was just about to ask the forum the same question as my system does the same thing but mine does it anytime it wants. So I hope you don't mind but I will follow your question to see if I can fix mine also.
