Windows 7 randomly hangs and restarts by itself. Screen goes blank

Since I bought my new PC about a week ago I've been experiencing the same problem over and over again. Typically what happens is that my monitor screen suddenly goes blank, and then the CPU either restarts itself or I have to force it to restart. There is no discernible pattern to the crashes - it has happened while I was surfing the internet, editing a Word document, playing a game, and it has even happened while my PC was simply left on its own, with nothing running, not even a browser was open. I only found out because the message 'Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown' popped up.

At a rough count the above problem has occurred about 15 times. I have read this forum trying to troubleshoot the problem myself. So I have updated my drivers, BIOS, I have even uninstalled Daemon Tools and removed the sptd.sys file by referring to the instructions here. All of it hasn't worked, and I have been incredibly frustrated.

Just today I have experienced 2 crashes, and I really don't know what else to do, so I'm attaching in the form of a zip file the 2 minidump files that were created as a result. Please, could someone assist with this? I would be most grateful!

Before reading his I was going to suggest a cooling/overheating problem.
- Be sure that your computer's fans are dustfree, and good enough.
- You can stop overclocking, or even underclock, your CPU to see if that helps.
- Maybe your Power Supply Unit cannot deliver enough power, although the fact that the issue also occurred once while the system was doing nothing... Nah, probably not it.

Thanks so much for the help This is a 1-week old PC so I can't imagine that the computer's fan would be dusty, but I'll still check it out.

Not over- or under-clocking this computer at all.

I also thought that it might be the PSU but the crashes have happened a few times while the CPU is idle so maybe not the PSU...

I don't think even think it's an overheating problem because I always use my PC in an air-conditioned room...and in any case the crashes have happened while the CPU is idle.

Thank you Tuan I've read the info at the link you provided and I'm guessing that it's a hardware problem.

After a week of no crashes, suddenly I have experienced 3 crashes in the space of 24 hours. I have attached the minidump files. Please could someone kindly analyze these and let me know what the problem is?
