Windows 7 Repair Install No Volume Information on Disk

I am trying to do a repair install (in place upgrade) of Windows 7 Ultimate. Windows 7 Ultimate is already installed but there is no sound and there are hardware issues. I've tried every other way to fix it. After set up initializes, I get this error "Windows could not retrieve information about the disks on this computer". I went to Device Manager and selected the hard drive. Under "Volumes", everything is blank. When I click "Populate" I get this error "Volume Information for this Disc cannot be found" Thanks for any input or suggestions

System Info - See Your System Specs

Make a backup of your data. You may have a dying drive.

Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
chkdsk c: /f
It will say your disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = yes.
restart
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc..

With that error it means there is no partition so you will be unable to run chkdsk

Disk partition has no volume (Annoying)

Thanks. I'll add my system specs. I was able to run chkdsk once. sfc/ scannow will not work.

You could try a partition recovery tool and see what that tells you.

extract to usb using something like View attachment Usb7ice.zip

AS I recall it includes minitool partition recovery and diskgenius and aomei partition assistant might also be in there. Can't remember exactly what I included as programs. There will be some stuff you can use.
