Hello

In the last 2 weeks, i was occupied doing a windows 7 reinstall, together with the bunch of programs and games I had on it. All went fine, then I installed Ubuntu 12.10, and it was fine as well. But, in the last 2 days, each time i boot up windows for first time, it goes to windows 7 logo screen, then it restarts, and after that it works fine. It only happens when i boot windows 7 first time (like i close computer, then i open it, or i use ubuntu, then i switch to windows 7). Second time, after the restart it occurs, everything is fine. I get a message on desktop with windows has encountered a critical error, with the option send and don't send, but I don't think they are helpfull, even if I submit them :( . I looked at the event viewer -> windows logs ->system and i can see following errors:

Critical : The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
Error: The previous system shutdown at 10:17:25 AM on ‎4/‎15/‎2013 was unexpected.
Error:Performance power management features on processor 0 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.
Error:Performance power management features on processor 1 in group 0 are disabled due to a firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.
Error:The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0x88786510, 0x9035d86e, 0x00000000, 0x00000002). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 041513-16614-01.
All these 4 errors were in an 1 minute interval between first and last.
Also, after 4 minutes, i got the following error:
Service 'WMPNetworkSvc' did not start correctly because CoCreateInstance(CLSID_UPnPDeviceFinder) encountered error '0x80070422'. Verify that the UPnPHost service is running and that the UPnPHost component of Windows is installed properly.

What should I do? (apart from reinstalling, clean installing windows)

Thanks in advance!

Yours, emilyan

Ok well first of all please insure you have the lastest graphic drivers.

Then check the services window by going to: :orb: - type services.msc - open - look for the following - "UPnP Device Host"

I have the latest graphic drivers, AMD Catalyst 13.1, as it sais on their official site. UPnP Device Host is currently disabled (I think because I am using Tuneup Utilities, with turbo mode on).

Maybe try to enable it to see if it makes a difference.

If it was my computer I would remove the Tuneup program and go back to a known good restore point before this problem started. That may or may not fix everything.
Tuneup programs do so many thing it is almost impossible to trace all them down and repair them.
Windows 7 does not need or want any Tuneup program.

What anti virus programs do you use?

I have been using Tuneup on 2 other computers, with no problems so far ( i mean the same 2013 version for several months).

Just a few minutes ago, on computer start, i pressed F8, and went in safe mode, where everything ran from first time. So, I think the problem could be from some faulty drivers. How can i find out from which, without doing a system restore? (as i said, i installed many programs in a short amount of time, i don't want to have problems with them). I mean, is there a way to read the log generated from system crash, or is there a way to disable in turns the programs, drivers etc. that normal mode use and safe mode doesn't?

Thanks in advance!

Yours, emilyan

Sorry for double post, but I want you to know that i installed BlueScreenView to see the .dmp files, then i saved the dump files from last crash(there were 2 created), and i will attach the .txt here. Hope it helps!

EDIT: I have uninstalled Daemon Tools, ATI Catalyst 13.1, and everything ran fine after that. Then, I tried to reinstall the Catalyst, and i got the problem back...
I will try tomorrow to see if it works with an older Catalyst driver, maybe this one has some incompatibilies.

Also, I looked at DxDiag, and saw :
The file aticfx32.dll,aticfx32.dll,atiumdag.dll,atidxx32.dll,atiumdva.cap is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

When I look at the dump file using BlueScreenView, it shows incompatibility between files with following File Description: AMD multi-vendor miniport driver, DirectX Graphics Kernel, DirectX Graphics MMS, NT Kernel&System, Watchdog Driver.

EDIT2: no matter what catalyst i install, i get this problem. With catalyst uninstalled and with driver sweeper cleaning all its traces, i don't get any more reboots nor errors. But, i can't stay without video driver..
