Stuck on Identifying Network

Someone PLEASE help.
recently, I have gotten adware or malware claiming to be an antivirus says i have 48 viruses and trojans that I got rid of with malwarebytes. Days later I tried to connect to my wireless router with an endless loop of "identifying network" as a result. I'm 100% sure its not the router because I went to my friends house and tried connecting there with no luck. Can anyone help at all? this is the only computer I have.
Thanks in advanced.

Do you have a restore point from before the problem started? I use Malwarebytes all the time. But it's not infallible. It often marks files bad that may be programs written in a scripting language.

If you can restore to before the problem and get your network back, but still have malware then post the screens from malwarebytes before deleting or quarantining anything.

edit: come to think of it, if your network works then and you have Malware you should probably start a new thread on the Security forum.
