Solved Windows 7 SP1 Not installing (Error TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE0x800b0100)

Hi I recently Installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and when I try to install SP1 I get this error TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100).

I've already run the System Update Readiness Tool. (see attached)

Please advise.

Thanks, but when I tried to run it I got the following error message:

"This Microsoft Fix It does not apply to your operating system or application version"

That's strange. My understanding is applies to all Windows 7. I will have to look farther.

This should do it. Mind now that Microsoft has to recognize your system as legal and activated.

Here are the files that need replacing:

C:\Windows\winsxs\packages\Package_11_for_KB2729094~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum
C:\Windows\winsxs\packages\Package_8_for_KB2729094~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum
C:\Windows\winsxs\packages\Package_11_for_KB2729094~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat
C:\Windows\winsxs\packages\Package_8_for_KB2729094~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat

Nice and easy, it's just one update

Please download the attached file, Packs.zip, and extract this to your Desktop. You should find two folders, Manifests and Packages. Inside the Packages folder, you will find 4 files, copy and paste all of these into the following folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

Then run the SURT again and copy and paste the CheckSUR.persist.log as before please

First thing I do on a system that will not update or keeps failing on a service pack is an "SFC /scannow" It can only help not hurt to check your system for any files missing or corrupted, but if it is corrupted you will need a windows 7 pre sp1 disc.

@Tom982 I'm sure your suggestion would have worked but I got impatient waiting for a reply and decided to perform an "In place windows update". After this, SP1 installed with no problem

Unfortunately I also have to re-install all the other updates now... I guess that's what I get for not waiting for your reply...
