Solved Windows 7 Start Menu Placement

Hello all.

As this is my first post on this site, I would like to apologise in advanced for anything that I've not abided by.

I've got a quick and simple question that may or may not be solvable. Below I've posted a picture if you've found it hard to understand what I'm trying to ask, or if you just want the quick version.

So, what I'm asking for is how can I reposition my Start Menu?

The reason for this is when I relocate my Task Bar there's a small gap between the edge of the screen, and the Start Menu. Either that, or it's blocking view.

I'm only wanting to change this for an aesthetics point of view as I don't see it increasing productivity or benefiting in any such way, other than to look nice.

Classic Shell has an option for that (Show next to taskbar), however it replaces the whole menu. After some customization you can get it real close to the standard Windows 7 menu though.

Ah! Thank you for your post and reply.

As you can see I'm not a regular member of these forums hence the slow reply as I nearly forgot about this thread.

Thank you for referring Classic Shell. I shall be reading up on it's customization in a while. I can't at the moment due to being capped.

I most likely will not be using it though as I was hoping for something a little more native within Windows it self. I don't tend to use third party software for customising.

Thanks again.
