I have a Toshiba NB 255 net book that had windows 7 starter preinstalled on it. I recently reformatted my hard drive to remove a copy of Linux I had on it and entered in my OEM product key and it activated windows just fine. About 3 weeks into after reinstalling windows it is now saying it is "not genuine" with a black screen as the background. I would simply just re enter my windows 7 OEM product key HOWEVER!, The label on the bottom of my laptop has been rubbed away making it impossible to transcribe what the OEM product key is!
There is no pamphlet or other booklets that came with the net book that have the OEM product key on it.
Is there anyway to find the original product key for my windows 7 with the serial key worn off the tag?
or will I have to buy a new key?
