Windows 7 UEFI Floppy drive won't show

My computer is used for archiving old software from floppies and data recovery.
I recently reinstalled 7 on this computer to support UEFI mode, but now I can't do one of my main tasks. When making backups, I MUST use the internal floppy. USB drives do not cut it. I can't however, since windows 7 UEFI apparently blocks floppies for no reason using a --no-floppy flag. Is there some way around this? This is a NECESSARY feature! I otherwise might as well just never update my desktop again

Hello andreja6

Which motherboard are you using? Maybe the BIOS has an Enable legacy floppy option somewhere?

It's an acer M4618G, the BIOS isn't the issue as it's visible in Linux. This is caused strictly by the windows UEFI loader forcing a -nofloppy flag to be set, and I want to know how to change this

andre, is it possible to roll-back to the previous noUEFI Windows 7?
"...I MUST use the internal floppy. USB drives do not cut it..." I take this to mean external usb floppy drives do not work, correct? Earlier, I thought you meant usb flash drives, until I re-read the opening.

Sadly, I had to reinstall because I ended up irreversibly bricking the legacy BIOS one. I might be stuck with reinstalling in legacy mode if comes to that.
