Windows 7 update error code 80080005

Hi, I got windows update error with error code 80080005. I tried NETSH WINSOCK RESET as Noel said in the other post, I changed the window update setting, I deleted all the files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\ as someone has suggested, and uninstalled Malawarebytes (antispyware) and Norton (antivirus) softwares....ran fix it from microsoft which says error fixed..........still the same error message from the windows update. I did, however, got the latest windows defender update installed. As of now my windows update main page shows the following:
Most recent check for updates: Never
Updates were installed: Never

and error message: Windows could not search for new updates, an error occurred while checking for new updates for your computer with the error code 80080005. I greatly appreciate you any help.

I tried the netsh winsock reset and god system error 10106

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file
