Hi there, I purchased an original Windows 7 Ultimate back in 2010. I have re installed it twice, both times worked perfectly. I wasn't sure of how many licenses my Windows supported, so I entered my same product key in another computer running windows 7. Apparently, I blocked it. I ended up buying another license for the second computer, and mine (the first one) was still running windows beautifully. Windows update was set no to check for updates, as I didn't want them at the time, but now I got a really good internet connection and decided to allow them. I downloaded and installed all the windows updates, but now I have the black screen saying that my Windows 7 is not genuine.

I understand that it was my fault for entering my code in another PC. Is there a way to solve this? I called the automated system from Microsoft, however, due to the holidays they are not working. lol. So I will have to call tomorrow.

Is there any way I can solve this without having to buy another license?

unfortunately; i dont think there is any way around this other than to buy a new activation code.(someone else correct me if im wrong here?). Because usually if the product key that came with your system(if the system is a oem) is meant for your system. But then again if its a custom build; it may not totally matter per say. m

The Product Key in use here has been blocked.

The Key in use is an MSDN Key from a not-for-resale MSDN account.
Unless you are an MSDN subscriber, you are not entitled to use the Key – and whoever sold it to you was not entitled to do so.
You need to claim an immediate refund from the vendor - do NOT accept the offer of a new key (all they are trying to do is to get past the 45-day claims window or avoid you sending the evidence of their crimes to the authorities)

The pirates have got VERY good at this over the past few years, as the price of equipment for manufacturing the packages drops, and as factories open in less well-policed countries.

My windows is original. It's not a counterfeit. What happened is that I entered it in two computers, therefore, I blocked it myself. What I want to know if there's a way to get in unblocked, or a way around it.

My computer worked fine since I installed it the last time, that was in 2012, only that I had not updated anything until two days ago when I decided I wanted the Service pack and all the Windows updates. That's when the not genuine thing appeared.

You've been scammed.
MSDN Keys will activate happily on far more than just two computers.

Please read the links I posted.

OMG... I can't believe it! Thank you for pointing it out. I will report it to Microsoft and see what happens. I've heard of people getting replacement disks... Thank you for your help.
